What did you love most about your gown?
“My dress was just perfect for me! It fit my aesthetic and style to a T! It provided the princess ballgown that I had always envisioned while also having some dramatic flare and uniqueness that I didn’t even know was possible, but was truly a necessity to complete my vision. I couldn’t stop twirling all night to show off every gorgeous layer of the dress. The fact that the designer was Justin Alexander, and that my now husbands name is Justin, was the icing on top of knowing that I had found my dress!”
What was the most memorable moment from your wedding?
“While everything truly was perfect and memorable in its own way, the vows were the most special part of the day. My husband has not always been a man of many words, and rather shows his love and affection through actions. He is also not a crier. So when he could barely hold it together while reading his own personalized vows, it spoke to the deepest part of my soul.”
Bridal Advice from Lindzy
The best advice that I received and implemented was remembering that it was all about me and my husband. My dad reminded me countless times that no matter what happens or doesn’t go according to plan, all that mattered was getting to marry my husband and celebrate with him. While I definitely had moments of celebrating with family and friends and taking it all in, my focus was on my husband the whole day. We had several issues arise last minute, including our minister not being able to attend, and a snow storm coming in making everyone’s travel a little tricky. While this would usually would have sent me into panic mode, I remembered that I was still getting to marry my prince, so I let everything else go. Every last detail turned out perfect because I got to marry the man of my dreams and have a magical night of celebration together. Plus we ended up getting “trapped” in the castle for a few days with the snow, which turned into a mini honeymoon for us!
